With the coronavirus crisis canceling events in Central New York, the economy is taking a hit from it. “As of today, we are between 12 and 14 events right now,” Danny Liedka, CEO of Visit Syracuse, said. “The total impact, economic impact is somewhere around 11 million. ” Liedka said all events booked through Visit Syracuse have been canceled until the end of June. He said April events are big for the area with events ranging from school competitions to religious celebrations.
